Our Guest Bathroom Paint Color

This post is sponsored by Lowe’s, all opinions are my own.

I recently kicked off my spring home improvement projects with this guest bathroom renovation, and this paint color I chose from HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams at Lowe’s was one of the most asked about elements of this design! It’s called “Let it Rain” and is such a pretty deep blue/gray tone. During Lowe's SpringFest sale Buy 2 Get 1 Free HGTV Home® by Sherwin-Williams paints and primers and Cabot® stains via Lowe’s gift card rebate 4/18 - 5/1. I always use Sherwin Williams paint because it covers so well—as you can see I didn’t have to prime, and did one coat in the room! I used satin on the walls, and semi gloss on the trim.

Lowe’s is also my go-to for all my favorite paint supplies and tools, and this square brush has been a life changing find! It really helps you control the paint and get crisp edges. It’s so good I don’t have to tape anymore. It also works great on trim and doors! It’s really an absolute must-have if you’re doing any kind of paint project.

I’m going to link all of my favorite paint supplies and tools below!

Game Day Ready with Walmart

It’s almost time for the big game, and my favorite Samsung Frame TV is on sale right now at Walmart.com! Right now you can save up to 28% on this best-selling TV! I love that easily connects to all our favorite streaming apps and gaming systems and looks so pretty when it’s not in use! As a designer, it’s important to me to ensure that all our spaces (even those with a television) are beautiful, and this TV certainly makes it easy!

Walmart.com has everything you need for not only the big game, but for enjoying movies and tv shows all winter long! With the longer evenings this time of year we definitely watch a lot more shows and movies, which is why we recently purchased the 50” Samsung Frame TV for our newly completed media room! I’m going to link a few more sizes of this tv that are on sale right now, along with more tech favorites of mine!

Last Minute Gifts from Walmart

There are only a few more shopping days left until Christmas! Today I’ve partnered with Walmart to put together a small roundup of last minute gifts you can quickly and easily grab from your local store! I love placing my order online at walmart.com and getting the order delivered to me curbside! It’s so quick and convenient.

Last night I drove to my local Walmart and picked up several last minute gifts curbside. I got this pretty Time and Tru Fair Isle hat and gloves that are under $21 for both! Comes in a lot of pretty colors! This holiday candle smells amazing and would make a great gift for a friend, neighbor, or teacher. I also grabbed some great stocking stuffer items like this portable bluetooth speaker, instastax camera (great for capturing Christmas morning), and this reusable tumbler. Gift cards are also a great stocking stuffer or gift for anyone on your list that is hard to buy for!

New Year's Eve Entertaining

If you’re planning to have guests over for New Year’s Eve I have a fun entertaining idea to share today! I recently partnered with World Market to create this fun dessert charcuterie board and cocktail that would be perfect for ringing in the new year!

One of my favorite things that World Market sells this time of year is their unique and extensive selection of holiday treats, so I decided to make a dessert charcuterie board that includes some of my favorites!

I started with this wood and marble cutting board, and added in some fun sparkly touches with these large disco ball ornaments. I also bought a strand of this disco ball garland with smaller ornaments and cut them off to place around the charcuterie board. Then I added in all of my favorite seasonal holiday treats until the board was completely filled.

I paired the charcuterie board with a peppermint espresso martini, which felt really appropriate for New Year’s Eve, especially if you have trouble staying up until midnight! I used these pretty coupe glasses, disco ball tray and coasters to serve them in to continue on the sparkly New Year’s Eve theme.

Peppermint Espresso Martini

Servings: 1

Total Time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  • Start by rimming your glass with honey and dipping it into into the crushed peppermint candy

  • In a cocktail shaker, add ice, espresso, vodka, kahlua, and peppermint syrup. Shake vigorously until combined and cold.

  • Pour the cocktail into the prepared glass and enjoy!

Creating Our Outdoor Oasis

This summer we have been determined to make the backyard at our new house a total oasis, and the perfect place to entertain guests! It’s such a peaceful and calming space that we want to spend as much time as possible soaking it in this season. This past weekend we celebrated my husband’s birthday, and I found this awesome Better Homes and Garden’s bar cart from Walmart Home to add to the space!

It’s an outdoor approved piece, so I can leave it out all season long for quick and easy set up for impromptu get togethers on the patio. It comes with the pretty rattan tray, and I added in some additional Better Homes and Garden’s accessories to make it the perfect station for guests to grab a cold drink. I love that it coordinates really nicely with our popular swivel chairs that are also from the same brand! I’m going to link all of my Walmart Home finds below!

Fourth of July Ready with The Home Depot

Our backyard just got a festive touch with a few amazing finds from The Home Depot! I’ve been having so much fun styling our new backyard and cedar fence, and wanted to make a welcoming space to host guests on the Fourth of July.

I found these pretty $24 planters and artificial cedar bushes online at The Home Depot, and they arrived so quickly! I also picked up these festive flags at my local store. I love that The Home Depot offers options like in-store pickup and two-day shipping right to my door! Shipping is also free if you spend over $45, and if something doesn’t work out I know I can always return it at my local store so I don’t have to worry about shipping it back.

The Home Depot carries thousands of on-trend products for all types of design styles and budgets! It’s always a go-to of mine to find quality products from brand names that I trust. I’m going to link a few more of my recent finds below!

Summer Dresses

I found some of the cutest dresses from Walmart Fashion recently, so today I’m doing a roundup of my favorites! I ordered four options and was so happy with all the pretty colors and patterns—they are great for any summer occasion!

This first dress I put in my cart immediately because I just love the pattern! I love the soft blue and white tones, and the it’s so flowy and lightweight for warm weather. It’s such a great closet staple for $36!

This two piece set is really versatile, and can be worn with or without the button front sweater depending on your style or the weather. I love that you can also wear the top set or the skirt separately as well!

I absolutely LOVE the bright pink colors in this Time and Tru crochet dress and floral dress! They are great options that you can dress up or down throughout the summer! Linking all my Walmart Fashion dresses below along with some cute shoes to pair with them!

Summer Wardrobe Essentials

Warmer weather is finally here, and I’ve officially switched over to summer clothes in my closet! For the last few years, I’ve been on the hunt for a great pair of denim shorts, at an affordable price. This week, I found some amazing options on Walmart.com for only $18! I always know I can find something on trend at an incredible price point from Walmart Fashion!

These denim shorts are from the Free Assembly line, which is a go-to for me. I got them in a cuffed version and a raw hem version—both $18 a pair! I also grabbed a few $10 basic short sleeve tees with fun stripes to pair with my shorts. Shorts and a tee shirt or tank top is definitely my summer uniform, and Walmart Fashion has you covered this season! Lastly, I paired this look with the cutest espadrille sneakers for $36! I’m going to link some more of my Walmart Fashion finds for the season below!

Summer Bedding

The weather is getting warmer and that means it’s time to change out our bedding for some lighter weight pieces that are perfect for summer temps! I found the most beautiful floral quilt from one of my go-to sources for furniture and home decor—The Home Depot!

This quilt is reversible, and is 40% off right now during The Home Depot’s Kickstart to Summer event! All sizes are in stock and under $100! I also grabbed this lightweight knit throw blanket, and think it’s the perfect final layer to this summer bedding look. It’s 50% off and under $25! Both of these pieces are from one of my favorite brands that The Home Depot carries, Home Decorator’s Collection. It’s the same brand that makes my famous Aberdeen bathroom vanities that have gone viral many times on my Instagram!

There are tons of hidden treasures you can find for your interior decorating style online at homedepot.com which is why I’ve been shopping there for myself and clients for years! They have great everyday pricing on the leading brand names in every decor category, and free shipping over $45! Knowing that I can always make a free return in store in case an item doesn’t work in my space gives me so much peace of mind when ordering. Another reason The Home Depot is one of the first places I go when looking for the perfect piece for my home!

Spring Home Office Refresh

I recently freshened up my office for spring with some great finds from The Home Depot! They’ve been one of my go-to retailers for furniture and home decor for years when sourcing items for myself and for clients.

I brought in some new organic modern decor to my console with this organic shaped vase, and silver textured picture frame.

I updated the rug to this pretty neutral wool style and super comfortable desk chair! I love that the desk chair has a high back, and adjustable height. It also swivels and rolls so smoothly! I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a new chair—especially if you are going to be sitting in it for a full work day.

The Home Depot is really a one stop shop for any of your furniture or decor needs. You’re able to filter the products by style or easy shopping, to help make decorating your space a breeze! I’m going to link everything I used to update my space plus a few more of my recents finds from The Home Depot below. Happy shopping!

Walmart Fashion Winter Sweaters

This year I’ve been trying to expand my sweater collection, so I’ve been on the hunt for some cozy and affordable options. I hit the jackpot recently with a bunch of great finds from Walmart Fashion! I also found some of the softest jeggings that are super stretchy and comfortable, they are very comparable to some of my designer jeans! I’ve really been loving everything from the Free Assembly line, and these jeans are no exception. The best part is, they’re only $25! This cream cardigan is definitely a closet staple—it’s perfectly oversized and super cozy for only $32!

I also found two more cozy sweater options under $28! The green ruffle collar sweater on the left is from Free Assembly, and the gray cable knit sweater on the right is from another one of my favorite Walmart Fashion brands, Scoop. They both fit true to size and are super soft and nice quality. I completed these outfits with these comfortable lug sole boots. They come in two colors and are under $80 right now! I’m going to round up a few more cozy sweaters below!

Winter Fashion With Walmart

One of my favorite new discoveries this season is Walmart Fashion! And with the temperatures finally starting to drop, I’ve been on the hunt for some good quality cold weather essentials. My go to outfits in the wintertime are leggings, tee shirts, and a cozy fleece. I found the cutest, coziest fleece jacket from Walmart that comes in a bunch of great colors! It’s a great winter staple, and would make an awesome gift!

I always like to dress in layers, so this pocket tee fit the bill! It comes in 15 colors and is only $18! It’s 100% cotton with a relaxed fit—I’d say it runs true to size. I paired the tee with these $18 Free Assembly leggings that also come in 14 cute colors! These run a little snug, so I’d order your regular size if you want to work out in them, but you could go a size up if you want to wear them more for lounging.

Lastly, I finished the look with these $20 neutral casual sneakers. They have a memory foam insole and are super comfortable! I sized up 1/2 a size since I like to wear thicker socks with my sneakers this time of year. I’m going to round up a few more Walmart Fashion finds below!

Holiday Mantel Styling

My mantel is one of my favorite places to decorate for the holiday season. I generally go with a more minimal look throughout the year, but I love the impact that greenery and a few cozy decor touches can make. This year, my mantel dreams came true with the help of The Home Depot.

To style my mantel, I first added my favorite faux greenery and a couple strands of garland. Then I added in a set of these metal gold ridged taper candle holders in the 12” tall and 14” tall sizes, along with these marble candle holders in the 3” tall and 6” tall sizes. I love the variations of heights and textures to give our mantle decor a more collected feel. Both sets of candle holders are from the same brand, which is one of my favorites that The Home Depot carries. They are amazing quality, and are pieces that I’ll definitely use once the holiday season is over. To finish the look, I pulled in two of these knitted beige cotton poufs to add some extra seating to the living room, and create a place to cozy up by the fireplace in the evenings.

The Home Depot is one of my go-to sources for home decor. They carry thousands of on-trend products that fit any style with leading brand names in every decor category. Plus, The Home Depot offers free shipping on order of $45 or more with flexible delivery options: free in store pickup, or 2-day shipping to home. And in case something doesn’t work out, they offer free returns at any of their 2,200+ stores! I love their everyday low prices, so I feel confident sourcing pieces from their website, as I know I’m getting the best prices year round.

I’m going to link a few more of my recent decor finds from The Home Depot below!

Stylish Gifts For Less from Walmart

It’s time for gift guides again, and I’m so excited to kick things off with some great finds from Walmart for him and for her at amazing prices! Walmart is a great source for stylish gifts for less, winter fashion, and holiday dressing to keep you on budget without sacrificing style.

I put together a great gift for him that’s under $70! I chose a cozy faux sherpa jacket, super soft plaid flannel shirt, national parks beanie hat, and Chaps slippers. All of these pieces are great quality, and make an awesome cozy gift for the men on your list that includes clothes they’ll actually wear and love! I ordered everything online, and it was quickly shipped to my door—some items even arrived the same day! And, if you spend over $35, shipping is free! Whether you like to shop early, or wait til the last minute, Walmart has you covered.

I put together a couple of gift guides for him and for her with a few more Walmart fashion finds that would be great for anyone on your list!

How To Make Your Frame TV Look Like Vintage Art

I’ve had my eye on the Samsung Frame TV for several years now, and it was the only TV that I even considered getting when we recently decided it was time to upgrade our TVs. As a designer, I love that the Frame TV takes what normally has a negative impact on a design, and turns it into a positive. We only have two TVs in the house, so we decided to upgrade both at once since (at the time) the TVs were a better price if you bought two or more. Once the TVs arrived, I immediately starting searching for artwork and frames to make them look like real vintage artwork. Samsung makes a few really nice frame options for the TVs, but they don’t make the TVs look super convincing as artwork, in my opinion. I was looking for something that had more of a vintage feel to it that flowed better with the rest of the art in our home.

I came across these great vintage style frames, and immediately ordered them in the Warm Silver and Antique Gold to try on the two TVs we purchased. They are a bit of an investment, but so were the TVs, and I didn’t want to cheapen the overall look with a frame that wasn’t good quality. After trying both of the frames out on our TVs I was in love! They are very well made and easy to assemble. They click together with a dowel and magnet system that takes about a minute to put together! After that you simply hang the frame from the brackets at the top of the TV, and snap it into place with the two bottom latches.

The side profile of the frame is finished really well, so it makes the Frame TV look like art from all angles! This is a 32” Deco TV Frame in the Warm Silver finish. The frame is very substantial at 3” thick!

If you aren’t sure what frame you want to go with, samples are available for less than $2 per sample! I will link them all below.

I like to search Etsy for super affordable digital download art prints. They’re typically only a few dollars, if that, and are quick and easy to upload to the TV from the Samsung Smart Things app. From there you can choose if you’d like a mat or border on the art. I chose to use no mat or border as I think it looks more like a vintage canvas art piece that way. I’m going to link a few of my favorite vintage art prints below!
