Modern Parisian Living Room
I just finished the new Netflix series Emily in Paris last night and was so inspired by the scenery and architecture in the show that today I’ve decided to put together a little modern Parisian living room design!

I recently ordered a few dried florals and floral supplies for fall, so today I’m sharing a few of the tricks I use to get my arrangements looking just the way I want them. I recently discovered Afloral, and am loving their selection of dried florals and accessories, and everything is very affordable! Most of what I used is from there, but I also really like Bloomist and Terrain.
My first tip is to use floral tape over the top of your vase. This is typically a good idea if your vase has a very wide mouth, or your stems tend to droop, since it gives you more control over how upright they stand, as well as the overall shape of your arrangement.
My second tip for wide mouth vases, compotes, or bowls, is to use floral netting. It’s another way make sure your stems don’t droop, but also keeps them from falling out of the vessel and gives you more control over the shape of the arrangement. It’s also much less time consuming than making the grid patten with the floral tape.
My third tip isn’t necessarily specific to the vessel, but just arranging in general. I always suggest making sure you vary the height of the stems so that your arrangement is less uniform and turns out looking more natural and whimsical. This also depends on the look you’re going for, but a lot of popular arrangements these days always have a lot of variance in the stems to keep things looking very casual and relaxed. If you’re not a fan of using floral tape or wire netting, I’d stick to using narrow mouth vases like the one below, so your arrangements still look nice and full with minimal effort.
I’m going to link a few more pieces below that I came across while exploring florals and accessories this week.I hope these tips were helpful to those of you who are aspiring florists like me! Tag me on instagram so I can see what you create using these tips and tricks!

It’s the time of year that I start thinking about how I’d like to update my outdoor spaces for fall, which means swapping out some of my summer plants for a few fall ones. For whatever reason, I tend to like to layer my planters more in the fall, so I’m always on the hunt for a good collection of planters in various textures and materials to keep my arrangements interesting. Today, I’ve rounded up a lot of large planter options that can be mixed and matched, and would work nicely for any season!
Target is launching their fall collection in collaboration with Studio McGee tomorrow! I didn’t think they could top their last collection, but they may have done it with this one! I’ve rounded up some of my favorite new pieces, and have done a huge high/low board of the pieces that are designer dupes!
