E-Design FAQ

How does E-Design work? E-Design is a great way for us to work together virtually to create a custom space for you! First, you will fill out a design questionnaire so I can gather all the necessary information about your space. Then I will get to work on your custom design! We will start out with two mood boards so that I can get a better idea of your tastes and preferences. You will be provided the opportunity to give feedback on the items before we move onto the next phase.

Then we will move on to a concept board, which will include all the items I’d suggest for the space, along with a floor plan and source list. You will be provided another opportunity to give feedback on the design, and if needed, I will complete any revisions to the design for you in the final concept. Once the final concept board is delivered your design is complete!

You will have a source list and instructions from me on how to implement the new design into your space, and can do so at your own pace! Please note that the Accessories Package will not include the mood boards phase.

How do I know if E-Design is right for me? If you’re looking for furniture and decor to complete a redesign or refresh of your space, E-Design would be a great option for your space! I am also able to help with renovation projects, and am able to source paint colors, lighting, hardware, and building materials! I have a large sample library of building materials, but please note that there will be some materials samples that I cannot acquire at this time or within a reasonable lead time. I am happy to provide general ideas for you to implement into your renovation/remodel for samples that I cannot acquire.

I can also help with cabinetry design for spaces like kitchens, laundry rooms, bathrooms and built ins by providing 2D renderings to help you visualize the design better. Please note, cabinetry design will be a $200 add-on fee.

What’s the difference between a mood board and a concept board? The mood boards are a preliminary step to the design process, and will show only a hand full of items (5-10) so that I can get a better idea of your tastes and preferences before I source everything you need for the space. The concept board will include everything that I suggest for the space, and will include a source list of all the items, and a floor plan if necessary.

How will we communicate? The majority of our communication will be done via email, but we can also FaceTime, Zoom, or chat via phone when appropriate.

How long will the E-Design process take? The E-Design process will take between 2-4 weeks to complete. You will be given one week between each design phase to provide feedback and submit installment payments. That way I can ensure your design is completed for you in a timely manner, and all the products I suggest are in stock and available for you to implement into your space.

Have you worked with E-Design clients before? Yes! I have been a full time E-Designer since 2015, and have worked with over 1000 clients virtually! I love that I can offer my services to clients across the United States to help them achieve their dream space.

Do I qualify for E-Design services if I don’t live in the United States? At this time I’m offering my services to select countries outside of the United States.

How do I make payments? All payments will be made via PalPal prior to the completion of each design phase.
