With the help of Walmart and their new Wow & Now section I was able to find everything I needed to give our space a new look!

The Walmart Wow & Now section has become my new go-to when I need something that’s affordable and on trend. I found these pretty pillows from the Gap Home and My Texas House lines to change up the look on my sofa. I was very impressed with the quality and high end look for such an affordable price. I was able to get all of these pillows for under $85!

I love the texture that these pillows add to the space. The lumbar pillow is reversible! I also brought in this new candle for the coffee table for $12!

Entryway Makeover

I’m so excited to share our entryway makeover today! This space has been in need of an update for a while now, and I’m so happy with how much more functional and beautiful it is! I really wanted our entryway to make a statement, and give our guests a great first impression. With the help of Serena & Lily, we have definitely accomplished that!

You may not remember, but this space used to be my office! It’s originally meant to be a breakfast room, but the formal dining room is literally ten feet away, so we opted to use it as an entryway and second office for the past few years. Since our house is about 1500 square feet, we needed every space to be functional, and after turning our guest room upstairs into my new office, we no longer needed a desk in this space.

I’m always looking for ways to maximize the storage and functionality in our home, and since this wall is right next to our garage door I wanted to incorporate a piece with a ton of storage for our most used items.

I’m a huge fan of using dressers in more than just bedrooms, and the Balboa Wide Dresser in Mist was the perfect fit for our entryway! It has six large drawers that we can now use to store all the necessities we need as we’re heading out the door. For now, I’ve stored outerwear and dog items in here, and it’s so nice to have everything we need right at our fingertips!

One of my favorite things about Serena & Lily dressers is the uniqueness of the styling, and how they can easily be incorporated into any room in the house. I love the longer length of the legs on the Balboa Dresser, and the brass end caps on the legs are such a nice polished detail. The mist rattan gives this piece an elevated, casual feel that’s very warm and inviting.

I’ve also incorporated the Portland Bone Inlay Tray to act as a catchall for smaller items we need to set down as we walk through the door. The details and intricacy on this piece are stunning, and really makes this feel unique and special. Serena & Lily has such a great selection of trays that work for any space in your home to keeps items corralled, while adding another layer to ensure your space feels styled with intention. I love the combination of textures at play in this space. Since I like to design with a lot of whites and neutrals, I find it’s very important to consider the materials that you’re including in the space to ensure it feels warm and welcoming. Overall, we’re so happy with how this entryway makeover turned out. It puts a smile on my face every time I pass by it throughout the day, and instantly makes me feel relaxed the second I come home. It feels not only like a reflection of us, but it serves as the perfect sneak peek of the look and feel of the rest of our home. It’s more than I’d ever dreamed this space could become! Guest Bathroom Details

If you’ve been following my stories on Instagram, you know that I just completed a very impromptu makeover of our guest bathroom. To make a long story short, our shower curtain fell down recently and created a large rip in our wallpaper that we couldn’t repair. One thing led to another, and now our bathroom has a fun new look!

I just incorporated all of the final touches in the space, with some help from the Walmart Wow & Now section! It was so easy to find a lot of great styling and organization pieces all in one place. I love that they have curated a dedicated section in select stores and online that showcases an assortment of top-trending items at affordable prices. Since this bathroom makeover wasn’t quite planned, I wanted to make sure I stayed on budget, and Walmart Home helped me make sure of that.

The first thing I knew I wanted to incorporate into the space were these striped towels from the new Gap Home collection. I love the pop of color they add. They’re so soft, and come in a set of six for under $40!

The Walmart Wow & Now section has great affordable finds in a ton of categories. Since I was already shopping for my bathroom, I decided to create a roundup of a few of my favorite bathroom finds which I’ll share below. Another piece I added to the bathroom was this woven water hyacinth tank basket. Since this space has a lot of white, I wanted to make sure it had some warmth as well. This basket helps achieve that and keeps the essentials organized! We are so happy with how this space turned out!

Living Room Refresh With Serena and Lily

I’m so excited to finally share our living room refresh with you all today! I was able to partner with one of my very favorite brands, Serena and Lily, to make a few changes to the space to give it an updated feel and add a bit more function to the space.

For the last few years we’ve have an ottoman in the space. While that was cozy to kick our feet up on, we really lacked flat surfaces to set drinks or snacks. This summer, my husband and I have started a fun tradition of sitting down here almost every night and watching a movie. As a small business owner I tend not to set aside much time for relaxing, but our nightly movies have been what I look forward to most each day lately.

I’ve had my eye on the Hunter Coffee Table for quite a while, and it was the perfect dimensions for our space! I love the clean lines and soft gray tones of the saltwash finish. It has a slightly weathered finish which gives it a great organic feel. I love the x style base, which could also be a fun place to store book or magazines! Serena and Lily has the best selection of coffee tables with so many unique and interesting materials. I will link some of my favorites below!

I also added in a second Pinecrest Side Table and Maybrook Table Lamp so that they flank the sofa. The Pinecrest Side Table offers so much additional storage! I love that the large cabinet can store blankets, the small drawer easily hold remotes and extra coasters, and the pull out tray is the perfect place to keep your drink at arms length.

The Maybrook Table Lamp is a favorite of mine because it has a built in dimmer switch, so we can get the lighting just right. Now that we have one of each side of the sofa we like to dim them really low so they give off a true movie theater atmosphere right in our own home! It’s also such a beautifully made piece, in the perfect tone of brass! I like that the glass bases allow light through and don’t clutter this small space.

Since we don’t yet have an overhead light in this space, having two layers of lighting really helps keep things bright at night. Adding in the second end table and lamp really draws your eye to either side of the room, making it appear larger which is always a plus when you have a small space!

I previously had our Piedmont Martini Table on the left side of the sofa, so I was able to move it next to our armchair. We’d also been lacking a little table for that space, so now every seat is super functional! The room really feels complete now.

We’re so happy with how much these new pieces have improved our living room, and look forward to our movies nights in this space every day! Sharing a before and after image below because sometimes I can’t believe how far this space has come since we moved in four years ago!

Linen Closet Organization with Walmart Home

One of my favorite things to do is organize. I love knowing where everything is in our home, and it brings me so much joy to create a dedicated spot for things so that it helps keep our home tidy and functional. After I created this built in linen closet last year I didn’t spend much time thinking about how it would function best, and after about a year of use, it needed some reorganization.

With the help of Walmart Home I was able to pull this closet together and get the storages pieces I needed to make it functional, but still pretty! The shelves are about 24” deep, so I picked up these slim water hyacinth baskets to place in front of folded linens to maximize the storage space. They come in a set of three—with one large rectangular basket, and two smaller square baskets that I was able to use in the drawers to help corral smaller cleaning and personal care items. I like that everything in here is in the center of the hallway upstairs so guests can also easily access whatever they need.

I kept my first aid box on the bottom shelf in front of our extra towels. I picked this up from Walmart Home about three years ago an we still love it! It’s so nice to have a designated place to keep all of our first aid items. It’s clearly marked so a guest would know exactly where to look for medicine or medical supplies without even having to ask!

I also picked up this cleaning caddy to use to corral all of our bathroom cleaning supplies. I like that it has a handle so we can easily grab it and carry it around the house wherever it’s needed. It’s on sale for under $10 right now! I was able to order it online and pick it up from my local store. I love how easy Walmart’s free in store pickup service is to use!

I also grabbed this water hyacinth laundry basket which matches the baskets perfectly! It’s really large and makes an everyday task like laundry a lot more fun and pretty! Most of the items that I’ve purchased are from the Better Homes and Gardens line. It’s one of my all time favorites from Walmart Home—I’m always so happy with how affordable and stylish their pieces are!

I love how this space turned out! I’ve been imagining some beautiful woven baskets in these shelves for a long time now, and I’m so happy with the added functionality they’ve brought this space while keeping me on budget. Serena and Lily Pierson Dresser Review

Today I’m sharing a home office update! As you all know, in March and April I worked very hard to turn this space that once was our guest room, into the office of my dreams! I’ve now had my Serena and Lily Pierson Dresser in my office for about three months, so I wanted to share a review of how I’m liking it. I originally sourced this piece for my new office because my sample library was growing and I needed a ton of storage space. I chose the Pierson Dresser because of its wide width (62” wide, 20” deep) and it’s versatile silhouette. I love that this piece is the focal point of the space. It really grounds the back wall, and compliments the Valley Wallpaper so nicely.

I love the extra tall legs on the Pierson Dresser. They give this piece such a versatile look that allows it to be used in so many spaces aside from a bedroom. I think the Pierson Dresser could be used as a sideboard as well as a dresser, and would look nice in an entryway, dining room, office, bedroom, or also as a media console! I know this piece is going to be with me for a very long time, and is likely going to have many uses throughout its lifetime.

I love the craftsmanship of Serena and Lily pieces. The Pierson Dresser has solid wood drawers with a natural wood interior, with a soft closing mechanism that gives the piece a luxe feel. It fits all my samples with room to spare! I love that I don’t have to get up out of my desk chair in order to access everything I need.

The simple shaker style drawer fronts and inset detail give this piece a clean and timeless look. This is surely a piece that will remain a stylish favorite for many years to come. It’s very important to me to choose pieces that have a classic and timeless feel, but with a modern twist. This is another thing that I know I’m sure to find from Serena and Lily, and they certainly delivered with the Pierson Dresser! I have already loved it for years, and am certain I’ll continue to love it for many more.

Another favorite feature of mine is the tray style top the Pierson Dresser has. This gives the pieces such a unique and custom feel, and is a detail I have never seen on any dresser before. It’s one of the features that originally caught my eye! The hand-forged brass hardware also gives the piece just the right amount of polish. The pulls are very solid in hand and give the piece an effortless, sophisticated feel.

This piece is very easy to care for and low maintenance—I simply dust it off with a soft, dry dusting cloth once a week to keep it looking good as new! The white painted finish has a slight glossy sheen, which helps make it easy to wipe down. The extra tall tapered legs allow me to easily run the vacuum underneath, so I never have to worry about moving it to clean up the dust bunnies every few months like with most traditional dressers. In case you do have to shift it around on occasion, it's worry free! It’s been tip tested and exceeds the industry standard for stability. I think Serena and Lily pieces are the best made pieces we have in our home—they make is easy to always source them with confidence for my clients.

I’d say the paint finish is a true, slightly warm, bright white. If you’re not sure it will work in your space, you can easily order a sample swatch of the furniture! I love that Serena and Lily offers swatches for many of their items so you can be sure you’ll love it in your home before you place your order. The hand-forged brass hardware is similar to an aged or antique brass look, and has a very luxe feel to it. In my opinion, it’s the perfect tone! It’s what I always strive for when I source brass finishes.

I would highly recommend the Pierson Dresser to anyone! It’s a piece that can be used in virtually any room, which makes this a worry free investment to add to your furniture collection! It’s solid, quality craftsmanship makes it a piece that you will be able to cherish for many years, and it’s unique detailing sets it apart from the rest.

Powder Bathroom Reveal!

The bathroom is finally complete! We’re so happy with this new space—it finally feels truly like it belongs in our house. I loved the old bathroom design, but it was honestly a compilation of quick fixes for many things that we didn’t previously have the knowledge or budget to do correctly the first time around. It was the first project I had ever used our miter saw on, and it was what gave me the confidence to tackle bigger projects in our home, so for that I’m grateful.

I’ve always envisioned a vanity in with a marble top in here, and I think it makes such a huge difference in the space! I knew I wanted to go with the meadowsweet wallpaper from Serena and Lily, and natural wood vanity was the perfect piece to keep the space feeling warm and inviting.

I still love our mirror, faucet, and towel ring so I kept those in the design. I’m so happy with how the design turned out, and for this space to truly feel like us.

Today I’m sharing sneak peek at our completed kitchen renovation, styled with help from Walmart Home! I know you all love affordable finds as much as I do, so today I’ve put together a roundup of a bunch of things I’m loving from Walmart Home right now!

Everything I used to style this corner of our kitchen is from Walmart Home and is under $15 each! I chose this bamboo cutting board to layer against the backsplash to pull in some warmth to this area. I love using decor that’s pretty and functional, so it’s right at my fingertips whenever I need it.

I added in this pretty white rustic vase with some fresh flowers and this sheer jasmine candle. I love the fluted glass vessel it comes in and think it would make a nice jar to keep once the candle is gone!
